Brewing Beer At Home with Ed 1/3

Not a Detailed “How To” But, some basic Info. on the Equipment and processes that the master Home Brewer Ed uses to brew his Beer. Only a “Select Few” get to enjoy Ed’s Eco Ale. Most of the Equipment used in Ed’s Brewery is made from “Recycled Parts And Materials. An old Beer keg, A 50 gal Water heater, The burner, from an old Commerical deep fryer[approx 250000 BTU] a lawn sprinkler….Etc…. And the Loving care that Ed puts into the process that produces the Best Beer I have ever had.! 56 Batches in 17 yrs.

Is There Anything I Can Do With All The Used Grains And Hops After Making Wort For My Home Brew Beer?

I know that by boiling them up in water to make the wort, I’ve effectively extracted everything usefull in terms of brewing from them, but it still seems such a waste to throw them in the bin.
Thinking from a green environmental viewpoint, is there any way of recycling them or using them for a secondary purpose after I’ve boiled my wort?

Siphon & Bottle Home Brew

In this video, I’m siphoning and bottling my latest homebrew – Barkshack Gingermead! I thought it would be cool to throw together a ‘mini brew show’ of sorts. The one thing I leave out of the video is the importance of making sure that everything is clean and sterilized that comes in contact with the homebrew.
